I was asked to direct the photography and presentation of the collection of American designer Lawrence Laske. Laske had amassed an incredible collection of drawings, sketchbooks, models and prototypes throughout his thirty year career. He wished to sell his design archive and memphis design collection at aution to benefit his foundation and artist residency housed in a former church in Caltabellotta, Sicily. Working with curators and Laske I art directed photography and produced all visual design the singular auction comprised objects, furniture, ephemera and hundreds of drawings from Mr. Laske’s impressive career as a designer.
I created initial design proposal and worked with photography studios and post production to create a large set of images and video for the collection. Sets were designed for a variety of object types.
